Brian Siegel - Managing Director
Before joining Cerebral Assets, Brian was responsible for Lenovo’s North America Consumer Sales and Sales Planning efforts. In this position, Brian oversaw all of Lenovo’s retail and e-tail relationships, Lenovo.com direct sales, and all Consumer sales teams and channel expansion. Under his leadership, Lenovo experienced explosive market growth and grew from number 6 market share to number 2 at some of the biggest retailers in the world.
As part of Lenovo’s Executive Management team, Brian lead efforts and opportunities to improve the company’s overall North American business operations, including wide ranging Task Forces that were charged with increasing overall Corporate profitability, expansion of web efforts, and supporting international expansion efforts.
Currently, Brian serves on the Advisory Board of Atom Nanoelectronics (California/China) . In this capacity, he provides insight, guidance and support for the development of consumer go-to-market planning and market development opportunities. Brian recently ended his 8-year relationship on the Advisory Board of Valens Semiconductor – an Israel-based audio/video chip manufacturer that was expanding their footprint into the North American marketplace.
Previously, Brian spent 15 years with Sony, most recently having executive leadership over Sony’s direct-to-consumer e-commerce and web business operations. In this position, Brian oversaw all sales, marketing, merchandising and operations functions for Sony’s web, mobile, social and telesales activities. His responsibilities included overseeing sales & profitability, driving e-commerce growth, sales planning & operations for Sony’s $500M+ consumer direct business channel.
Brian also served as a member of Sony’s Management Operations Committee, a team of Sony’s highest level Senior Executives charged with setting Sony’s US business strategies and overall financial commitments. Brian was also selected as one of Sony’s top 25 Global leaders to participate in an intensive Executive Education Program at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
In addition to his strong strategic and collaborative management approach, Brian possesses 17 issued US patents and has a strong education and background in analytics, which uniquely positions him amongst the highest echelons of successful omni-channel executives. Brian has also has been inducted into Sony’s Samurai Society, Sony’s highest employee honor, as well as receiving Lenovo’s highest Executive employee honor.
In previous roles with Sony, Brian served as Vice President, US Television Business unit, and was responsible for all elements of US business operations, including product planning, go-to-market operations, sales management, product marketing and merchandising for $4B+ of Television products and services. Brian also led all aspects of Sony’s Home Audio and Video business unit in the United States. Under his leadership, Sony regained number one market share in the highly commoditized Blu-ray and DVD hardware businesses. Formerly the Vice President of Consumer Platform (Sales) for Sony Electronics, Brian was responsible for sales, marketing and merchandising of over $1B in annual sales direct to some of Sony’s largest retail customers.
Prior to joining Sony, Mr. Siegel worked for MediaOne, U.S. West and Frontier Communications. Within all of these organizations, he honed his entrepreneurial executive experience through playing key leadership roles in launching new business ventures, and was involved with rolling out the first cable modem service, the first competitive local exchange telephone company, and the first competitive long distance service from a local telephone company.

Having had broadcast interviews on networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and Bloomberg, as well as speaking at industry events including CES, Blu-Con, and Techlicious Summit, Brian has represented his company and industry in the most public of ways.
Mr. Siegel graduated with distinction and earned his Masters of Public Policy Analysis and Administration with a focus on Statistics and Methods of Analysis from Binghamton University. In addition, he earned his Bachelor of Art’s degree in Public Policy from State University of New York, where he was a member the Pi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society.
